Cory Wells is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. His primary practice areas include first party property, commercial litigation, civil rights law and general civil litigation. Mr. Wells’ professional experience includes working as a mortgage broker in Orange County California, and a real estate broker in Raleigh, North Carolina, in addition to representing clients under the auspices of a legal clinic in Durham, North Carolina.
Mr. Wells has received several awards for representation of clients at the civil litigation clinic associated with North Carolina Central University School of Law, in the areas of employment discrimination and wrongful termination.
Prior to law school, Mr. Wells majored in psychobiology as a pre-med student at UCLA. Once his thirst for medical research was satisfied, he turned his attention to the social sciences and became an African American Studies major in preparation for law school. Mr. Wells enjoys the sciences, but prefers to focus on the practice of law. During law school, he gained valuable experience as an intern at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in the gang prosecution unit.
Mr. Wells is a California native of Los Angeles and has traveled extensively throughout Europe enjoying the different languages and cultures.
