Christopher Donegan is a partner in Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s Tampa office. Mr. Donegan’s practice focuses in the areas of catastrophic and personal injury, commercial litigation, fraud litigation, general civil litigation, legal malpractice, premises liability, professional malpractice, SIU Insurance Fraud, vehicle negligence, trucking, personal injury protection (PIP), and foster care lead agency and community based care defense.
Mr. Donegan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Louis University, where he majored in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship with a concentration on family businesses and start-up companies. While in school, Mr. Donegan worked in his family’s construction business in Tampa, Florida, where he learned the finer points associated with running a small family business.
Upon graduation, Mr. Donegan earned his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, Mr. Donegan earned his Master of Business Administration from Stetson University’s School of Business Administration, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and being inducted into Stetson’s chapter of the business honors fraternity Beta Gamma Sigma.
While in law school, Mr. Donegan was inducted into Stetson University College of Law’s Chapter of the legal honors fraternity Phi Delta Phi. He also was an active member of Stetson University College of Law’s nationally recognized Advocacy Board. Mr. Donegan took the opportunity in law school to focus on alternative dispute resolution. He competed both on the national and international levels. Mr. Donegan was a quarterfinalist in the International Competition for Mediation Advocacy in Toronto, Canada as well as a Regional Champion in the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division’s Arbitration Competition.
In recognition for his work in the field of alternative dispute resolution while in law school, Mr. Donegan was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. He is also the recipient of Stetson University College of Law’s Stanley Milledge award for his outstanding work and commitment to legal ethics.
