Carlos R. Collazos is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale West Office. Mr. Collazos’ practice area is focused on General Civil Litigation with an emphasis on First Party Property.
Mr. Collazos earned his Juris Doctor degree at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law and achieved Dean’s List on multiple occasions. While in law school, he held leadership positions in the Interfaith Law Student Council and his law school’s chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.
Prior to law school, Mr. Collazos earned his Bachelor’s degree at Florida International University where he double majored in Political Science and International Relations. He graduated with great honor Magna Cum Laude and achieved Dean’s list on several occasions. Mr. Collazos was the recipient of the School of International and Public Affairs’ award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Politics and International Relations. He was also an active member of Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Mr. Collazos served as legal intern for the Tim Canova for Congress Campaign and before shifting his career towards the law, he worked for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families and in the medical field.
Mr. Collazos was born in Cali, Colombia and is a naturalized U.S. citizen. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Mr. Collazos is licensed to practice law in all courts in the state of Florida.
