Brea is an experienced trial attorney in criminal defense, who now brings her litigation experience to CSK. She has spent the last four years as an Assistant Public Defender in the 1st Judicial Circuit, with experience in all areas of criminal court.
Routinely representing hundreds of cases, she spent most of her time preparing cases by investigating and conducting depositions, motion practice, or in the courtroom, successfully defending her clients through evidentiary hearings and trials.
A proud Gator, Brea received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Florida State University College of Law, where she made the Dean’s List and graduated with Honors. Upon graduation, she was conferred a Business Law Certificate with Honors, reflecting specialized training in publicly traded corporations, closely-held business entities, corporate finance, law and economics, and taxation. She was also awarded Book Awards for receiving the highest grade of the course in both Real Estate Finance and Tax Crimes.
During her tenure at the Florida State University College of Law, Brea worked as a law clerk at another state-wide civil litigation firm and as a legal intern at the Innocent Project of Florida. Brea was awarded for exceeding the required hours of pro bono legal work while in law school.
