Annissa M. Yost is an associate in the Orlando office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. Her areas of practice include all aspects of insurance and general liability defense, including personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability, automobile no-fault litigation, and insurance coverage disputes.
Ms. Yost earned her Juris Doctor from Barry School of Law. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree, Magna Cum Laude with Honors, from Rollins College and also obtained her Masters of Business Administration from the same school.
Prior to joining Cole Scott & Kissane, Ms. Yost worked for the Orange County State Attorney’s Office where she served her community as a Senior Special Victims Unit Prosecutor. During her prosecutorial career, she handled felony, juvenile and misdemeanor cases in both County and Circuit Courts. Ms. Yost prosecuted a variety of offenses including violent crimes, property crimes, drug offenses and economic crimes. During her tenure with the State, Ms. Yost received the Champion of Justice Award for trial advocacy. Prior to working at the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Yost acquired experience in private civil practice working for a boutique corporate law firm in downtown Orlando. She has extensive trial experience in Florida State Courts, having tried more than 100 jury trials.
Ms. Yost is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
