Allison Barkett is an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. She primarily focuses her practice in the area of architects and engineers, business/commercial law, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, construction, country club, condominium and homeowners’ association law, federal practice and legal malpractice.
Ms. Barkett earned a B.S. in Advertising, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida. She recently graduated cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in May 2020 with her Juris Doctor and earned a Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law with highest honors. While there, she served as an Executive Editor on the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, an Article Selection Editor on the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, the Secretary of the Public Interest Law Student’s Association, and a member of the Student Ambassadors, Women’s Law Symposium, Environmental Law Society, and the Phi Delta Pi Honor Society. She published a paper on the impact of state and federal regulations on fishing in the Gulf of Mexico in the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, Volume 36.2. Prior to law school Allison had a career in advertising and marketing working as an Account Executive for an advertising agency in the Tampa Bay area.
