Aleisha Hodo is an associate within the firm’s Orlando office, where she focuses on the defense of first-party property claims. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Aleisha graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, majoring in Legal Studies with a specialization in Trial Advocacy and Litigation. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the Florida A&M College of Law in Orlando, Florida. Aleisha served as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association and served on several executive boards for other student organizations. She was the 2013 recipient of the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association scholarship for excellence in service and academia. She also served as a judicial law clerk in the Ninth Judicial Circuit and interned with Attorney General’s Statewide Prosecution Office.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Aleisha practiced as litigation counsel at a general litigation firm providing legal services to the mortgage banking industries. She has also practiced family law, criminal law, and complex civil litigation where she gained additional courtroom experience and participated in numerous mediations and depositions. Aleisha is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts, United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
