Overview
Maisaa Kayal is an associate attorney in the firm’s Jacksonville office with a practice focus in first-party property defense and civil litigation. Ms. Kayal actively represents insurance carriers in breach of contract disputes involving water damage, wind/hurricane damage, and other material losses.
Ms. Kayal received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida State University where she was a member of the American Constitution Society, National Panhellenic Conference, and Homecoming Executive Council. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Kayal served as a legislative intern during Florida congressional session and practiced philanthropy for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Ms. Kayal obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Florida Coastal School of Law where she earned recognition as a Vicennial and Dean’s Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Kayal also served as the Trial Team President, the Secretary of the Student Bar Association, and the Class Commencement Speaker.
Ms. Kayal is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. She is certified in legal-research by WestLaw, Bloomberg Law, and LexisNexis.
