Paula J. Parisi is a partner and trial attorney in the firm's Tampa office. Ms. Parisi is also Head of the firm's Medical Malpractice Division. Her practice is primarily focused in medical malpractice and nursing home litigation.
Ms. Parisi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas, where she earned Best Appellate Moot Court Argument in the Political Science Moot Court Competition in 1998. She received her Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, making Dean's List and winning unanimous verdicts in both the Civil and Criminal Trial Advocacy Mock Trials in 2001.
Upon graduation, Ms. Parisi moved to Florida and commenced her legal career with the West Palm Beach Office of the Public Defender, defending indigent clients in both felony appellate and misdemeanor trial proceedings. Ms. Parisi obtained a not-guilty verdict for each client who proceeded to trial. After six months in criminal law, she switched career paths to medical malpractice defense in Fort Lauderdale. In 2003, Ms. Parisi obtained her Texas Bar license and practiced for four years predominantly in Dallas, Texas in the areas of medical malpractice, contract disputes, family law and estate planning. In 2007, she permanently relocated back to Florida to join Cole Scott & Kissane where she maintains a civil litigation and trial practice representing clients including Tampa General Hospital, Lakeland Regional Medical Center, and Florida Blood Services.
