Michael McCoy is a partner in the Jacksonville Office.  He has received an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell.  His practice areas include medical malpractice defense, general and commercial liability, professional malpractice, employment law, trucking/transportation, construction, auto negligence, premises liability, municipal and county liability, professional licensure defense, insurance defense and insurance coverage disputes.

Mike graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 with honors.  He graduated from University of Florida College of Law with honors in 2000.  After graduation, he clerked with the Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Labor in Washington, D.C.

He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association.  He is a past president of the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel.  He is a Barrister in the Chester Bedell Inn of Court.  He is a past member of the Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Bar Association.  He is a current member of the Ethics Committee for Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine, and he is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, Class of 2014.
